Our Luxury Cabins

Five independent Fly-In Floating Cabins (I, II, III, IV, V) are River Plates's ultimate solution for optimizing shallow drafting mobility, comfort, and luxury.

On arrival from the U.S., you travel about one hour directly to one of our five Floating Cabins via a new state-of-the-art eight-passenger Cessna Caravan turbo prop float plane.

The cabins cruise the head waters of small tributaries accessing secluded lagoons. These fish-filled lagoons are three to five hours on a fast bass boat away from the melee of competing house boats and lodges on the Rio Negro's deep channel water ways.

The float plane flight to the camp barge plus the daily cruising effectively replaces three to five hours fast bass boat traveling or expensive plane charters every day traveling from the main water ways to the secluded lagoons which are protected by shallow water entry barriers.

The many well established land based lodges, including our past Shufari and Tapera Lodges, are situated past these natural barriers, but have no mobility to seek better water levels. More importantly, their areas become rapidly overfished two to three hours upriver or downriver. Our cabin barges move daily to unfished river segments and overnight along Caribbean-like beaches. Walk into your 10' x 15' elegant, carpeted, roomy cabin with private full bathroom for comfort at any time to take a break from the nearby secluded prehistoric-looking lagoons. The Cabins are tastefully decorated, and attention has been given to every detail.
