Outfitter Gerry Glasco prefers small parties, usually limited to twelve guests, and each has single room accommodations (a rarity in Mexico). The dining room and bar are tastefully decorated and there is a wall-mounted television for CNN and ball games at each end of the bar and gathering area. In the evenings, guests are pampered with hot appetizers and cocktails immediately upon arrival from the hunt, and dinners of steaks, southern-style home cookin’ and game specialties make up the menu. Aztec Lodge is a very private and luxurious facility with beautifully landscaped grounds, spacious dining room, palapa bar with satellite television and pool tables. When the weather allows, meals are served poolside and the quality and variety of cuisine is unmatched at a hunting lodge in Mexico. The facility is located one hour south and west of the city of San Fernando. Outfitter Ralph Wilson prefers small parties and allows single room accommodations during the quail/dove season. One of the main attractions of these trips is the professionalism and cheerful service of the lodge staffs. Guests are awakened on time. Meals are served on time. The trucks are loaded and ready to leave on time. The hunting leases are carefully scouted. The food is carefully prepared. The bar is well stocked. The loaner guns are first-rate and cleaned after each outing. These people are organized. |
